Paris’s agri­cul­tural and trade fair, the Salon In­ter­na­tional de l’Agri­cul­ture takes place from 25 Fe­bru­ary to 5 March with 330 breeds of an­i­mals on show in­clud­ing cows and bulls; draught horses, ponies and don­keys; goats, sheep, rams and ewes; rab­bits and farm­yard an­i­mals; pigs; dogs; and pets. There is also the op­por­tu­nity to sam­ple top-qual­ity culi­nary pro­duce, and buy crops and plants. The theme for 2017 is ‘Farm­ing: a pas­sion, a set of am­bi­tions’ with a view to pro­vid­ing an over­all in­sight into farm­ing in France and, of course, the chance to meet and talk with those work­ing in the agri­cul­tural in­dus­try.
