Your views of life in France

Your re­cent call-out for photos of France on Twit­ter made my wife, Joanna, and I think about our won­der­ful hon­ey­moon in France. Prob­a­bly the most mem­o­rable part was the time we spent along the Dor­dogne river, be it Beynac-et-Cazenac, Domme or Ro­ca­madour.

It was a shame it wasn’t a sunny day in Castil­lon-la-Bataille; I found the Dor­dogne river to be per­fect for tak­ing photos. A painter along the banks of the river thought the same thing. While he painted a scene to the west of him, I opted for the east side. I found the boats moored to the shore to be so peace­ful and rep­re­sen­ta­tive of what France is.

Ev­ery time I look at the photo ( pic­tured be­low), it makes me want to be back in France.
