Lauren Clary I go to the same stalls every week and I often select what I want – without damaging the produce of course! In any case, I’d definitely ask if it was my first time at a stall.

Alex Williams I recently began visiting a local market in the Cotentin area and the stallholder always asks when we plan to eat things like avocados or fruit that needs to finish ripening. He selects specimens that will be ready at the right time and he’s always been right.

Tiffany Li Of course we should select, but not damage the produce, just check if it is good quality. Still, better to ask first.
