Clean eating

Living France - - What's New -

Diners in France can now assess the cleanliness of their favourite bistro or restaurant thanks to a new app which reveals establishments’ scores during the most recent official sanitary inspection. The Alim’confiance app was launched by the French government in a move to improve French food standards by making sanitary hygiene findings available to the public. The establishments featured on the app range from bistros and larger restaurants to butchers, bakeries and cheese shops, and are ranked on a four-point scale, from ‘in need of urgent attention’ to ‘very satisfactory’ based on the findings from the very latest hygiene inspection. The results can be viewed via an interactive map featuring smiley faces and are available for one year from the date of the latest hygiene inspection.
