A time to remember

Living France - - What's New -

All Saints’ Day on 1 November is known as La Toussaint in France and is a Catholic tradition of honouring the dead. On this day, families visit the cemetery together where they put chrysanthemum flowers on the grave and light candles. It is a public holiday in France so many families like to take time to spend the day together, remembering loved ones who are no longer with them and enjoying some quality time with those family members who still are.
