Bid from new US suitor sways Premier Farnell
RASPBERRY Pi mini-computer maker Premier Farnell switched horses today after a new bidder, US firm Avnet, topped the takeover bid it had recommended from Switzerland’s Dätwyler. Avnet has slapped 185p cash on the table, beating Datwyler’s 165p-a-share offer. That values Premier at £691 million and is a premium of 69% to its share price before the first bid emerged.
