Mouth-to-snout resuscitation saves dog in fire
A FIREFIGHTER saved the life of a dog who was rescued from a burning building in California by giving it mouth-to-snout resuscitation.
Andrew Klein spent 20 minutes bringing bichon frise/shih tzu Nalu, 10, back to life in Santa Monica. Owner Crystal Lamirande, 35, said she tried to save Nalu but the smoke was too thick. Mr Klein said: “He was lifeless. I picked him up, ran out of the apartment — time is key. Failure was not an option.” Nalu spent 24 hours in an oxygen chamber.
