Doug’s in a flap over BA’s

‘shambles’

-

AIR rage strikes Doug McWilliams, president of the CEBR economic think-tank, who has got himself into a lather at British Airways.

First there’s nobody on the Club World check in — “hard to accept Ryanair service at BA club-class prices” — then there’s no wi-fi when he arrived in the Cape Town lounge. “This is a shambles...” McWilliams fumes.

AGM season is kicking off in earnest over here and tempers are running high but, for jittery boards and chairmen, bear in mind it could always be worse. You could be Wells Fargo. The scandal-struck bank, which opened two million fake accounts for its customers last year, had to kick three protesters out of its annual meeting this week. “You did it that way and you allowed it to continue for years!” one shouted. The protesters were no respecters of the cloth either, even shouting down an angry nun.
