to Ed Sheeran and eat snails at L’Escargot

What would you do as Mayor? Insist everything didn’t shut at night, because we still want to be out past 2am. Biggest extravagance? It’s Steph. We agree on that one. Earliest London memory together? The night we first met, which was on a blind date at an Italian restaurant in Chiswick nearly 20 years ago. It took a year for us to agree to the date, but it changed our lives. Best thing a cabbie has said to you? ‘Oi oi, saveloy.’ Last play you saw? The Book of Mormon (right). It was so inappropriate — right up our street.
