The Happy Trainer!
Of Mr Williams, And we want them all!
Adidas Superstar lace-ups have long been an essential part of any trainer fan’s arsenal, but recently they’ve also become a must-have among the fash pack. From fashion editors to celebs like Rita Ora, every stylista worth their salt has invested in a pair of shelltoes. This season, though, there’s a new style to know. Behold the Superstar Supercolor, created by none other than Pharrell Williams.
Instead of classic white or black, the just-launched kicks come in a rainbow of 50 colours, and are guaranteed to make you stand out from the crowd. According to Pharrell, individuality is what the Supercolors are all about. ‘Everybody can select his or her colour,’ he says. ‘The Superstar is such an iconic shoe that’s lasted for a long time, so I wanted to do something I hadn’t seen.’
To celebrate the set-to-be-cult designs, Adidas hooked up with east London fashion photographer Lloyd Pursall for a seriously cool photo shoot on the streets of London’s Hackney. This gave us plenty of inspo on how to style our statement sneaks – and there’s not a lot you can’t wear them with. That’s definitely something to be happy about…
