And just like that, we re­alise that weõre des­per­ate for this hi­lar­i­ous, bril­liant woman to be our BFF. See, of all the emails we could have hoped to re­ceive, the one say­ing that we could in­ter­view Jen An was right up there.

Weõve been huge fans of Jen since (youõve guessed it) her Friends days. Weõve grown up with her. Weõve lived through her ca­reer highs and her love life lows (sheõs one of the most talked-about women on the planet, af­ter all). But what­ever pre­con­cep­tions we might have had about the ac­tress, she blew them all out of the wa­ter in our 20-minute chat about Ð among other things Ð her new fra­grance Near Dusk.

Ms Anis­ton is funny, re­laxed, just a lit­tle bit self-dep­re­cat­ing and, at 47, to­tally at ease with her­self. ‘IÕM pretty con­fi­dent,õ she ex­plains. ‘Itõs just age and beauty. Beauty re­flects con­fi­dence and keeps it go­ing, you know? I guess you reach a point of peace with it all.õ

She con­tin­ues: ‘My con­fi­dence has def­i­nitely built up [over the years]. I think youth is wasted on the young.
