How To Contour Drape!
Yep, there’s another new beauty technique in town. But hold up before you get judgy – this one’s totally worth mastering
We know what you’re thinking: we’ve only just about managed to master contouring (kinda) but trust us, this is actually going to make your life so much easier. Draping is basically the new and improved way of faking a model-like bone structure without completely overdosing on bronzer. And if you ask us, we’re totally ready for it.
This technique’s not just a fad – it’s got history. Marc Jacobs Beauty has recently brought draping back into the beauty spotlight with the US launch of its two-tone Air Blush Soft Glow Duos (hitting UK shores in September) but it turns out the technique was actually started back in the 70s by legendary make-up artist Way Bandy.
Used to bring out the natural ‘drape’ of the face, unlike the heavy Instagram contour we’ve come to know (and become a teensy bit scared of!) draping is more of a natural flush.
