Olivia Palermo For Coast: ‘I Made Sure I Gave It The OP Touch’
An exclusive preview of her Coast edit and 25% off? Oh Olivia, how we love you…
We’d like to say that when we first heard Olivia Palermo was fronting Coast’s new campaign, we managed to keep our cool. We’d like to say it, but it’s totally not what happened. What actually ensued was a lot of squealing, mixed with the sort of hysteria displayed by smitten teenage girls at a 1D concert. Consider OP the Harry Styles of this analogy and you’ll get the idea – it’s a big deal. Huge.
As one of the most stylish women on the planet (that’s no exaggeration), Olivia’s got the sartorial Midas touch the rest of us could only admire from afar. Not any more, though, as she’s joined forces with Coast. Known across the land for stunning frocks, Olivia showcases a whole different side of the occasionwear outfitter. Cast images of bandeau dresses from your mind – instead, think beaut bejewelled knits, tweedy separates and (perfectly positioned) faux fur stoles. We’re still trying to get our heads around the fact that the floor-sweeping floral maxi skirt is high street. It is, though, and it gives Liv’s fave design house Oscar de la Renta a run for its money in the drama stakes.
Don’t be fooled, though. She ain’t no clotheshorse. In fact, Olivia insisted on styling the shoot herself. ‘I incorporated bold metallic colours and some luxurious textures such as the velvet and jacquard, then added statement shoes from my closet to give it a personal touch,’ she giddily tells us.
Now, what if we were to tell you that you could dress exactly like Olivia but at a fraction of the cost? No, you’re not dreaming – we’ve sweet-talked Coast into giving you 25 per cent off the lot. Not even OP gets that sort of treatment.
