10 Declutter minutes to... Your life

Look (UK) - - HEY BUSY GIRL! -

We’re constantly surrounded by stuff, but there’s a simple way to maintain that chic minimalism you’ve been dreaming of – and just 10 minutes a day will do it!

1 Focus on one space ‘Choose the space which needs the most attention,’ says professional organiser Vicky Silverthorn. ‘Don’t look at the house as one big project or it will feel overwhelming.’ 2 Simplify the process Collect all the items that need putting away in a basket. Put the basket by the door and put five of the items away a day. Manageable and easy. 3 Choose to love or leave Marie Kondo, author of The Life-changing Magic Of Tidying, advises keeping only what brings you joy. Put unwanted items in a bag and take them to the charity shop. 4 Stay motivated Try writing three lists: to do, doing, done. You can migrate tasks as you go along and monitor your progress. 5 The rule of five Every time you clean a room, get rid of five things you don’t use. Hell, if that includes your boyfriend, then he’s got to go. Be ruthless.
