Why run? ‘I love the feeling of freedom and release I get from running. I suffer badly with anxiety and running helps me deal with it, giving me time away from my computer, social media and daily stresses. also, I love the non-academic challenge that running brings.
Kit yourself out ‘I run 3-6 miles, four times a week, plus a long run when I’m marathon training, so I need good clothes. The collab between new Balance and J crew is gorgeous – totally my style and functional too. I wore them when I did the new york marathon in november.’
Keen to try? ‘If you can’t run, walk. Incline walking is great for burning fat, so power up and down a local hill. When you’re running, forget about the pace. Slow right down. It doesn’t matter how fast you run your mile, it matters that you complete your mile.
#RUNNINGGOALS ‘I want to run a Boston marathon qualifier. But hitting every single one of my workouts in the four months leading up to the Berlin marathon and executing a perfect race is my greatest achievement. I beat my goal time by nine seconds – spot on.’
