Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop Eyeshadow Stick, £22

these are great for New Year’s eve parties, as they’re so easy to use – they glide onto the skin and the pigment is so strong it takes seconds to create a statement look. Plus the formulation is cooling, so great for pepping up partied-out eyes. @lydiathompson

NARS Velvet Shadow Stick, £21

the art of the catwalk-cool smoky eye is now firmly within my reach thanks to this sophisticated stick. it blends effortlessly over other shadows and is brilliantly buildable, allowing me to create depth. @perditanouril

KIKO Milano Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow, £6.90

these are a complete godsend for applying make-up on the tube every morning. they’re virtually impossible to get wrong, plus they last for hours so i never end up with annoying creases. at under a tenner each, i can even afford the entire range. @shanmks

The Body Shop Eye Colour Stick, £8

Pigment-packed and super-creamy, these sticks are made with beeswax so they never dry my skin out. they’re chunky too, so really comfy to hold when creating feline flicks or doing statement shading. @daisiesmith

Lord & Berry Reglam Crayon Sticks, £12

i love these sticks – they have a creamy texture so are easy to blend and they come in beautiful colours with a subtle shimmer. i mainly use them for highlighting the inner corners of my eyes, but sometimes i use them on my lids and layer with normal shadow for a longer-lasting finish. @ashleylouisejames
