They’re both massive players on the catwalk, but do you prefer ruffle or retro?

By now, we’d like to think you’re all clear on the fact that you can be stylish in the cold. If not, well then you haven’t been reading Look magazine, and that’s just silly. From chill-beating cover-ups to knee-high boots, we’ve given you the cream of the winter fashion crop – and now it’s time to turn our attention to jumpers. As far as we’re concerned, there are only two worthy of our time: the retro zip-up and the ruffle. Chloé kick-started the vintage zip-up comeback with its sport luxe tops and now everyone’s wearing the 70s, après-ski-vibe number. This time, it’s been brought bang up to date, worn tucked into A-line minis and with wide-leg trousers. The ruffle type, meanwhile, is a lot more ladylike, and looks just as good teamed with a girly miniskirt and loafers as it does with kick-flares and biker boots. Either way, both will bag you major fashion points and you can get your own from just £18. The only question is, which one will you be wearing? The power’s all yours, so choose wisely.
