Crawl­ing

We’ve seen the odd bear crawl on a Joe Wicks Youtube vid but al­ways thought it looks a bit…odd. You’re go­ing to be a crawl­ing ex­pert this year, though. Bear and baby crawls are great for mo­bil­ity, strength and fat burn­ing and even gives your core a pretty good work­out too. Win­ner all round, we reckon.

Slack­lin­ing

You’ll need to remain fo­cused for this bal­anc­ing act. Hint: it’s not a good move on a hang­over. Sim­i­lar to walk­ing on a tightrope, slack­lin­ing in­volves walk­ing along a strip of web­bing fixed above the ground. If you want to work your core and im­prove bal­ance, add this to your weekly work­out list.

Sleep­ing

Not re­ally a move as such, but com­pletely es­sen­tial to well­be­ing. Health and fit­ness ex­perts will be en­cour­ag­ing peo­ple to switch off, sleep more and get the nec­es­sary TLC our bod­ies de­serves. So this year we’ll be bal­anc­ing out our HIIT train­ing and spin­ning with night­time yoga.
