If you’d asked us five (read: 15) years ago, fash­ion and food shop­ping wouldn’t have gone hand-in­hand. Now though, it’s a to­tally dif­fer­ent story. Not only can you pick up a bag of juicy tan­ger­ines dur­ing your weekly shop but you can also get your hands on the hottest cat­walk-in­spired orange cloth­ing.

Yes, su­per­mar­kets have in­deed be­come suit­ably chic – and join­ing the style ranks is none other than Mor­risons. Its Nut­meg range first came about with its chil­dren’s col­lec­tion four years ago, and mov­ing into wom­enswear was a nat­u­ral pro­gres­sion.

Head of de­sign Claire Cave told us: ‘We wanted to de­velop af­ford­able wardrobe es­sen­tials, then go beyond that with easy-to-wear fash­ion-led clothes.’ Mis­sion ac­com­plished then, con­sid­er­ing the drop of­fers up ev­ery­thing from striped strides and tai­lored A-line dresses to clas­sic camel trenches and one of the strong­est denim col­lec­tions of the sea­son.

In case you need any more proof, Look’s Fash­ion Stylist Laura Martin and Deputy Beauty Edi­tor Chloe Bur­cham mod­elled their favourite pieces and you don’t need us to tell you how good they look. Plus who can ar­gue with prices rang­ing from just £4 to £24?
