1 Avoid Go­ing Cold Turkey

‘Try list­ing the most im­por­tant tasks in your day. Once you’ve com­pleted a task, treat your­self with a short break to check Face­book, Twit­ter or In­sta­gram. That way you’re com­plet­ing ev­ery­thing, but re­ward­ing your­self too.’

2 Set Aside Time

‘Block off a larger chunk of time each day – maybe 10-15 min­utes at lunchtime or in the evening – when you can use your phone, and stick to it.’

3 Don’t Use Your Phone In Bed

‘Ide­ally, you should stop us­ing your phone at least one hour be­fore bed­time, to get the best sleep. This might seem dif­fi­cult, but try build­ing it up. Put your phone away (or turn it off) 15 min­utes be­fore bed tonight, then try 30 min­utes to­mor­row.’
