Benefit is using the power of eyebrows and the colour pink (yes, really) to empower women all over the UK. Now, all the brand needs is you…

Look (UK) - - THE PINK ISSUE -

Usually when you get your brows seen to or spend a weekend perusing the shops for that killer new outfit, the only person you’re really helping is yourself. Our beauty regimes are hardly a philanthropic venture. But, thanks to Benefit, that’s all about to change.

The beauty brand is back with its annual Bold Is Beautiful Project, raising much-needed funds for two charities: Refuge, an organisation that supports women and children escaping domestic violence, and Look Good Feel Better, which aims to improve the self-esteem and well-being of women and teenagers dealing with the effects of cancer treatment.

Benefit will be opening a brand-new pop-up charity shop called #Raiseabrow, selling everything from clothes and candles to books and bags – all donated by celebrities, major high-street brands (think ASOS and GHD) and even your favourite Instagram influencers. Oh, and absolutely everything will be pink.

Launching in London on Friday 31 March, #Raiseabrow will tour the UK, visiting Dublin and Glasgow, too. And if you can’t get to any of those cities, you can get involved with the ebay auction, live from 1 April, selling luxe treats like a signed Lulu Guinness clutch and even wedding dresses. Failing that, visit any Benefit Brow Bar during April for an eyebrow wax and 100 per cent of the profits will go to the two charities – and you’ll receive a free Benefit gift worth £10! Plus, we’ll be offering Look readers 20 per cent off all purchases at benefitcosmetics. See p25 for details and to find out how we’re personally championing the campaign.

Donate your own pink pieces at the#raiseabrow shop or just get your eyebrows done. Either way, you’ll be making a huge difference to women’s lives around the country. And there’s nothing more empowering than that.
