My Oh My-konos

Look (UK) - - TRAVEL -

We weren’t going for romance, but that’s what my SO and I found in Mykonos. I wouldn’t say my honeymoon the previous year was a flop, but being stuck atop a Swiss mountain with a £50 cab ride between us and civilization made it hard to enjoy ourselves. Enter Mykonos, with its delicious restaurants, chic bars and stellar beach parties…

Where to eat eating at Kiki’s tavern is a mykonos rite of passage. it offers the best BBQ ever, but its salads are, literally, world renowned. if that wasn’t enough to tempt you, the next three words ought to do it: Unlimited. Free. Wine. taxi essential.

Where to drink if Coachella were a country club, it would look a bit like Scorpios (sc or piosmykonos.com ). it’s spenny, but if you like star-spotting (cough, olivia Palermo, cough ), it’ s the place to be. just nurse that drink.

Where to explore in the centre of mykonos town you’ll find Cine Manto Mykonos (cinemanto.gr). an open-air courtyard with up-to-date movies projected on a big screen under starlight, it’s truly magical. During the day, rent a quad bike and seek out deserted beaches to claim as your own.
