‘RIHANNA, stay AWAY From YOUR EX!’
After Chris refollowed Ri on Instagram, insiders reveal the pair might be set to reconcile… Nooo!
Is there anything Rihanna can’t do? Singer, humanitarian, designer, actress… But when one part of your life’s going well, something else crops up. So we’re not surprised Riri’s pals are concerned that the 29-yearold has been back in touch with toxic ex Chris Brown – something he’s attempted to make public by following her on Instagram.
‘Rihanna’s in touch with him but she also knows he’s in a bad circle right now,’ says her friend, ‘and she can’t afford to be around any controversies while she’s getting her acting career off the ground.’
As Look reported, Ri’s been concentrating on her career and throwing herself into new opportunities. In February, she wowed everyone when she won Harvard University’s 2017 Humanitarian of the Year Award and only last week she made her TV debut as Marion Crane in Bates Motel. In short, she’s smashing it.
Although Riri’s admitted she found her sex scenes ‘weird’, show co-creator Carlton Cruse has been full of praise: ‘She worked her ass off. The charisma was something I knew about. [What] really impressed me was her work ethic.’
That’s why the contact with Chris, 27, is pretty damn alarming. Still, this is Rihanna, and her friends say that for now she’s keeping him at arm’s length.
‘Rihanna’s very wary,’ says another pal. ‘It’s a new era for her and she wants to draw a line under her past, so she’s very much keeping it as friends.’
And reportedly her ‘friend’ stance extends to Drake, 30, too. His new ‘playlist’ More Life includes so many lyrics that could be referencing his on-off love, in particular: ‘I need you to stop running back to your ex, he’s a wasteman’, which many have speculated is a direct aim at Riri.
‘She’s not overly happy about [Drake’s lyrics],’ her friend continues. ‘She’s got no time for guys like that anymore – guys who don’t know what they want.’ Take note, Chris…
