the verdict

Look (UK) - - FIRST -

‘I’d never really considered buying a high street wedding dress, but this has changed everything. Sure, it felt good to wear a dress worth almost £1,000, but I can’t say it seemed much different to when I tried on the high-street versions. I felt just as princessy (is that a word?), but equally way less worried about being able to afford to eat for the rest of the year. Each high street brand has clearly taken every detail (no matter how tiny) into consideration, too – the gems, the hemlines, the fit, the material, everything. I can safely say saving for a couture number is off the cards. Not that I’ve been doing that. And definitely not since I was 15. Honest. Also, just think of the regular clothes you can buy, guilt-free, with the money saved. You know it makes sense.’
