‘I just don’t like the “plus-size” term and the way it segregates people. As a tall girl I feel like a giant, but it’s a different type of plus-size. I don’t want girls to look at my body and be like: “If she’s plussize, then what does that make me?”’

‘Why did we dismiss a bunch of women over the last 20 years? My childhood was spent looking at super-skinny models. Now I’m glad there are models of all sizes.’

‘Sometimes I ignore, sometimes I read it. If it’s about something I care about, I read it and reply, but I know I can’t be everyone’s cup of tea. I have no hate. It’s fine.’

‘I feel most confident when I learn an active skill and have a talent to work on – photography, filming, that kind of stuff.’

‘Get your family involved as much as you can. I’m lucky I have a very supportive other half who encourages me to go and work while I can and is all for feminism. We negotiate who will be at home when the other is out and vice versa.’

‘Social media really lets you show your true self, and people will like and respond to that.’

‘I understand it’s hard to buy fashion if you’re not shaped like the clothes are – I just wish they’d scrap all labels and make the sizes inclusive. There should be more than size zero, regular and then plus-size.’

‘I think society and the industry have changed dramatically since I started as a model. Girls like Iskra Lawrence really help make body diversity a reality. It’s finally going the way it should be.’

‘Eat good food. Don’t diet. Never diet again! If you’re feeling down, get help and talk to someone about it. I still eat what I want in moderation, but I don’t eat any chemical food.’

‘Unwind. Refocus on what’s important and don’t sweat the small stuff. We all go through “off” days – even the most beautiful women in the world.’
