It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for – Urban Decay has launched the ultimate complexion contouring kit! The Naked Skin Shapeshifter, £39.50, is loved by none other than Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic. Here are his top tips for using it like a pro…

use sparingly

‘the pigments are insane, so a little really goes a long way. i recently demoed it for the urban decay beauty advisers and i told them to use it with caution because the pigments are so amazingly strong!’

start with…

‘First apply the cream contour. Blend italongthehollowsofyourcheeks, the sides of your nose and your hairline. Go over everything with the powder contour using a brush. there are two powder contour colours; use the lightest shade to contour your nose and the darker shades for everything else.’

it works on eyes, too!

‘i love to use the powder contours for eyeshadows. do a nice warm, smoky eye by contouring your eyelid crease, then use the shimmery colour to highlight the brow bone or the inner corners of the eyes.’

don’t contour every part of your face

‘Just because you know how to contour doesn’t mean you have to do it to every single feature. it’s great to contour just the nose for the evening. if you’re new to contouring, start very light and build up slowly as you learn.’
