There’s no monkeying around as the trilogy finally draws to a close

What’s The Story? The battle between the apes and humankind rages on, but now it’s the apes who begin to look like the losing side. As many are killed off in the vicious fighting, it’s up to their leader Caesar to think about changing tactics as he’s forced to figure out a different way to save his species. Meanwhile, a new colonel isn’t prepared to let that happen anytime soon. Who’s In It? Originals Andy Serkis and Judy Greer return, but it’s Woody Harrelson as the stern Colonel, determined to wipe out the apes completely, who totally steals the show. You’ll hate him, but you won’t be able to tear your eyes from the screen. Why Should I Care? It’s the end of the trilogy and what an epic final instalment. Even if you’ve missed the previous flicks, the set-up ensures that you’ll still understand exactly what’s going on from the get-go. You’ll be gripped by the battle sequences and torn by the emotional upheaval. Expect all the feels in this one. Out 11 July. Verdict: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
