BEY & JAY
After several years of relationship drama, we’re told that Bey and Jay are ready to put it all behind them – for good
When you’re one half of music’s biggest power couple, it’s not easy to have a quiet life. For Beyoncé and Jay Z, the circus follows them, but they’re happy to create hype too. Take Bey’s recent reveal of six-week-old twins Rumi and Sir Carter: just a casual, carefully art-directed photo shoot. We’d expect nothing less.
Despite their desire to create publicity for themselves, there’s one thing they’ve kept secret: the decision to get their marriage back on track. And that means another wedding.
We’re told the pair, who got hitched in private in 2008, are planning a vow renewal ahead of their 10th anniversary – and Beyoncé’s said to be the one calling the shots.
‘After going through a really tough couple of years they’re planning to renew their vows in late summer, in front of the children and 10 specially selected trusted friends,’ says a source.
‘Beyoncé wants to wipe the slate clean and bring the family back together,’ adds another insider. ‘They’ve experienced some seriously difficult situations, but they’ve pulled through it.’
Those troubles have included that infamous lift fight between Jay and Bey’s sister Solange, and those infidelity rumours, which Jay has also tackled on his new album 4:44: ‘My heart breaks for the day I had to explain my mistakes,’ and ‘What good is a ménage à trois when you have a soulmate? You risked that for Blue?’
But the twins’ birth marks a new start for the couple and Beyoncé and Jay are going to make sure they take time out to work on their marriage.
‘They’ve spent so much time working on their careers and both know their

marriage has suffered. From now on it’s all about spending more time together, starting with Jay’s new tour. Beyoncé’s bringing the twins and they’ll be together as a family.’
With the vow renewal due in the next few months, we just hope we’ll get a peek at Bey’s wedding dress. Ideally as part of a carefully art-directed shoot, of course.
That baby reveal. We’re still not over it
