Storytelling Shoes

Look (UK) - - CONTENTS -

I’ve always been a shoe person. I can recall, from the age of five, lining up my (albeit limited) selection along the skirting board of my bedroom, ready to don at a moment’s notice – a trait I’ve carried with me into adulthood. Sitting pretty, they’ve since become somewhat of a décor fixture. When friends come over, I usher them upstairs to show them off, in much the same way my BFFS who’ve been blessed with children insist on showing me videos of their offspring eating carrots/ using the toilet/ snoring. We’re equally proud of the little guys that inhabit our lives.

After all, my shoes and I have been through a lot together. From the heels I wore on my first day at Look 6+ years ago to the nude Topshop courts I trashed on my wedding day in 2014, each pair marks a poignant chapter in my life. Which is why I highly recommend you make a beeline for p54, where we’ve found the footwear you not only need to enhance your wardrobe, but that’ll also become part of your own sartorially blessed story.

Think embroidered sandals that’ll join you in soaking up the last of the summer sun; satin heels that command serious spillagedodging on that wild night out; trainers that kick-start a new hobby. I’m not silly – I know shoes can’t completely overhaul your life – but one thing’s for sure, they can make you look hella good while you’re working through the tough stuff. If that’s not incentive to put your best foot forward this season, I don’t know what is…
