Single season is in full swing. There’s something about summer that fuels our desire to date and, well, mate. Too much? Sorry. But with 37 per cent of Brits using dating apps as their main way to meet someone, and apps like Badoo boasting 355 million global users, competition is seriously up. Enter a new dating trend: the VIP club.

Apps like Happn and Tinder have been adding exclusive enhanced features to their offerings in a bid to ‘upgrade’ our dating experience. Several of these are, of course, paid-for features and therefore some of you might question whether or not they really enhance your experience or are just a money-grabbing scheme. But with one in five of us using a monetised dating app (we’re a close second to the US) and 44 per cent of millennials revealing that using them leads to long-term relationships or marriage, could stepping into this exclusive club be the key to success in love?
