H&M’S New Mood
Timeless tailored classics washed with a tonal colour palette – H&M’S latest Studio offering is here to amp up our office ’drobes
Good things come to those who wait. But if Swedish fashion giant H&M has anything to do with it, waiting is just not a thing. We’d only just got over the excitement of the surprise Colette x Studio announcement when we heard H&M would be teaming up with none other than Erdem for its next designer collaboration. And just when we thought it had all blown over, the brand new H&M Studio range landed in our inbox.
It’s the seventh such collection and this one’s inspired by the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple, where street style meets sophistication. Think feminine forms adorned with artful graffiti prints and sharp suits alongside ladylike tops.
H&M’S head of design and creative director Pernilla Wohlfahrt says: ‘This collection is all about tailoring and enhancing the female silhouette. We’ve combined ultra-feminine details with street or punk influences for a hard-edged yet sophisticated result.’ Our fave? The pleated midi skirt. We’ll be wearing ours with the white shirt and silk neck scarf, but it’ll look great with just about anything. Now, when we said good things come to those who wait, we’ve got a mere five weeks until this lot lands on 14 September. PS: the cheapest thing is £9.99. All hail H&M.
