Meghan’s rage: ‘don’t push Me’

Following that live interview and those TV documentaries, Meghan and Harry have been hurled back into the spotlight…

They’re said to be gearing up to announce their engagement, but it looks as though there’s another bump in the road for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – and while Suits star Meghan is determined that the couple put on a united front, it’s said to be Harry who’s fretting. Amid Meghan’s sister speaking out again on live TV and a series of documentaries being released about the couple’s relationship, Harry is said to be worrying about Meghan. According to a source speaking exclusively to Look, Harry is terrified Meghan will be ‘put off ’ of royal life – before it’s even started.

Since the Duchess of Cambridge announced her third pregnancy a few weeks ago (she’s due in April), it seems like attention towards Meghan, 36, and Harry, 33, has shifted slightly. But last week, Meghan and Harry hype returned full force, after Meghan’s half-sister Samantha Grant began singing her praises in an interview on live television (despite publicly slating Meghan a few months ago when she called her a ‘hypocrite’ and a ‘shallow social climber’). She also revealed she is writing a book and the title, The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister, is accurate. Yikes.

‘She’s lovely,’ said Samantha last week. ‘She’s very animated, very charming, very lively and, no matter what, I don’t believe that you can be a half-sister. Either you’re sisters or you’re not. In my heart and in reality, she’s my sister.

‘The British people and the world will be surprised by how graceful and lovely she is. She will bring so much to her role as part of the royal family. The world will be surprised.’ According to an insider, Meghan’s furious – and we can totally see why, especially considering the unnerving change of heart from Samantha’s previous comments. ‘Meghan can’t believe her sister has done this again,’ explains the insider. ‘she knows the pair can get through anything, but she’s raging. She’s done everything she can to keep things private and wants things to carry on the way they have been.’

But while Meghan is trying to look the other way, adding fuel to the fire are the series of TV documentaries currently being aired about the couple’s relationship. Last weekend, Channel 4 aired When Harry Met Meghan: A Royal Romance and, as Look went to press, ITV announced a similar programme, Harry and Meghan: A Royal Revolution, set to be shown in the next fortnight.

‘For the first time, the realities of the royal bubble are starting to dawn on Meghan,’ reveals an insider. ‘She’s worked so hard to make sure she acts properly and that people like her. Meg’s image is carefully crafted and has been built up over many years.

‘Harry has been great. He’s given her countless examples of times that he’s been unfairly criticised and nobody thinks any less of him. He’s told her that ultimately you can only worry about your own actions. But, the most surprising support has come from Kate. When Meg looks at how Kate holds her head high through it all, that’s the ultimate example. This documentary will come and go, Kate said, but Harry will still love you.’

Very wise words, Kate. #royalsisterinlawgoals, right?
