MOTHERS DAY. This Sunday is Mothering Sunday “Shall we not love thee Mother dear?” Services at St Bartholomew’s Church are; 8am Holy Communion; 10.30am ‘Fresh Start’, both services with Rev D Bowler. There is no evening service this week.

COUNCIL. The next meeting of Quorn Parish Council will be on Tuesday, April 4, at Quorn Village Hall. The public and the press are welcome to attend.

CANCELLED SHOW: The performance of The Professor of Adventure featuring Peter MacQueen scheduled for last Sunday, March 19th had to be cancelled due to a lack of adequate sales. Quorn now holds the reputation of being the only venue where such a cancellation has occurred. The village charity for whom the show was to raise money now faces outgoings of £270.
