Loughborough meeting about Glenfield

CAMPAIGNERS who are trying to save Glenfield Children’s Heart Unit have organised a meeting in Loughborough to help people engage with the public consultation taking place on the future of the unit.

NHS England, which wants to close the only centre which is carrying out congenital heart surgery in the East Midlands, has an online questionnaire people can fill in.

Parent of a heart patient and campaign chair, Steve Score, said: “They have not made it easy for people to respond, the questions are not always straightforward.

“People want more information than they can get from reading the NHS England material and they want it put in a clearer way.

“Help us save the centre at Glenfield. Come to the meetings and fill in the questionnaire.”

The meeting will take place at Rosebery St Peter’s Community Centre, Storer Road, Loughborough, on Saturday, May 6, at 2pm and for more information email 38degreeslboro@gmail.com
