Crime Commissioner visits funded project
POLICE and Crime Commissioner Lord Willy Bach visited one of the projects he funds in the Loughborough area that focuses on tackling anti-social behaviour through music and video.
On Saturday, April 1, Leicester-based charity Pedestrian, hosted an event in Southfields Park, Loughborough, called ‘Hold the date’ which was an opportunity to celebrate the creative work of the young people involved in the project as they performed live music and organised a parkour workshop.
Project manager Kate Rounding said: “The event was fantastic. Luckily the rain held off for us and we had a good turn out.
“We were pleased that the young people from the Loughborough youth development project helped to make the event a great success.
“There were some great performances and people were able to see the video the young people made.
“We were especially pleased that Lord Bach joined us and joined in with the fun and activities.”
