Events galore in Charnwood this summer

A NUMBER of events and workshops are to take place at Charnwood Museum this July:

• Saturday, July 15, until Sunday, July 30, children aged three and above are invited to take part in a free fun gallery game as part of the Festival of Archaeolog­y and find out all about just how brilliant the Bronze Age was.

• Tuesday, July 25, under fives are invited to Tiny Tuesday: Awesome Archaeolog­y. There will be activities and games, with a small charge for some.

• On Thursday, July 27, children aged three and above are invited to enjoy tile painting and be inspired by the decorative medieval floor tiles on display at Charnwood Museum. The session is from 11amnoon and it is £3 per child. Booking is essential.

• Saturday, July 29, ‘terrific treasure’ will be at Charnwood Museum. Youngsters can have a go at a trail, handle real treasure, see a range of archaeolog­ical objects and learn about metal detecting with Loughborou­gh Coin and Search Society. 11am-3pm, entry is free.
