Action hog roast

-

WARWICK Way Action Group (WAGS) held its summer hog roast and more than 100 children and families came along for some fun in the sun.

WAGS chair, Vicky Dawson told the Echo that it was “a fantastic day had by all.”

It wasn’t just a hog roast that was on offer either, with a bouncy castle, facepainting and a table top sale.

Vicky said a big thanks must go to Dan from Caspian Carriages who brought his two horses along for people to pet and feed carrots, and Stephen and Ross from 360 Play in Leicester, who took part in craft activities with the children and even brought along special guest Twirl.

Vicky said that they also hosted a raffle with more than 90 prizes from local businesses, and with help thanks to a number of Loughborough University students the day managed to raise £300 that will go towards the WAGS Christmas event and pantomime trip.
