‘Noisiest village in the country’

CLAIMS that Castle Donington was the noisiest village in England upset a leading member of the community.

Mr David Boe, chairman of Castle Donington Royal British Legion branch, objected to statements by Coun Tony Saffell.

Mr Boe said: “I have been trying to sell my house for the last two years and the comments by Coun Saffell are not helping. Castle Donington is not the noisiest village in the country, but the name is going to stick and it will put people off wanting to live here.”
