Nights of jazz

A NUMBER of events that promise to entertain jazz and music lovers are to take place this month in and around Loughborough.

Jazz pianist Paul Sawtell will be joining singer Lizzie Cooper and musicians for Jazz at Loughborough College on Wednesday, September 20.

Paul is routinely booked to play with top soloists from London and abroad. These include Shirley Bassey, Neil Sedaka, Sir Cliff Richard and many more.

The evening takes place in the Radmoor Centre, Radmoor Road, and runs from 7pm-9.30pm. Tickets £10 on the door or from 07967 302462 or lizziecooper@me.com

Then on Friday, September 22, Jazz at Beaumanor Hall will be taking place 7pm-11pm.

The cheese and wine evening will feature music from Lizzie Cooper and Brian Humpherson on piano. Tickets £22 via 01509 890119.

Lizzie will also be performing outside McDonald’s in Market Place on Saturday, September 16, from 11am to mark the launch of a new signature burger.
