Foxes maintain unbeaten start to season

LONG EATON 0 LOUGHBOROU­GH FOXES 2 LOUGHBOROU­GH Foxes maintained there unbeaten start to the season with a 2-0 win at Long Eaton on Sunday.

Despite dominating possession it wasn’t till the final 20 minutes of the game where goals from Chloe Young and captain Shauna Chambers were enough for the Foxes to secure the points. The win kept Foxes in fourth place in the FAWPL just behind Solihull, Burton Albion and The New Saints.

Foxes now face a busy couple of weeks as the entertain Radcliffe on Sunday before visiting Leicester Ladies away on September 20 and then travel to Birmingham and West Midlands Ladies on September 24.

In other games Foxes reserves also won at Long Eaton. The 6-1 cup win was capped by a hat trick for 16-year-old midfield player Tiana Hicks who continues to impress. The Foxes Vixens also won 5-3 in the league cup on Sunday and Sam Clarke also scored a hat trick.
