AN AP­PREN­TICE at a Lough­bor­ough firm has been short­listed for a re­gional ap­pren­tice award as part of this year’s EEF Fu­ture Man­u­fac­tur­ing Awards.

Robert Bell, 28, who works for Polyp­ipe Civils, based in Lough­bor­ough, R is in the run­ning for a Busi­ness Ap­pren­tice Fi­nal Year Award.

He was short­listed af­ter im­press­ing judges with his hard work and ded­i­ca­tion to his ap­pren­tice­ship and de­ter­mi­na­tion to pur­sue a ca­reer in man­u­fac­tur­ing.

Robert is now up against short­listed fi­nal year ap­pren­tices from across the Mid­lands, each look­ing to be crowned re­gional win­ner at a cer­e­mony tak­ing place at Not­ting­ham Trent Univer­sity on Novem­ber 10.
