Two car collision
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a two-car road traffic collision in Loughborough on Sunday (September 17) that saw a vehicle collide with a building.
The emergency call to the incident in Frederick Street, near to the Heathcoat Street junction, was received just before 7am.
A pump and a Tactical Response Vehicle (TRV) from Loughborough Station and a technical rescue team from Southern Station attended.
No persons were trapped. Crews checked the building’s structure and made the vehicle safe.
Police were also in attendance. A force spokesperson said: “A Ford and Volvo were involved, we do not believe anyone was seriously injured and an off-duty paramedic treated someone at the scene.
“One of the vehicles collided with a building nearby.
“The owner of that premises arrived and arrangements were made regarding that property.
“Both vehicles were recovered. There was a bit of oil and debris on the path, the council was called to clear it up.”
