Shire climate grants up to £5,000 now up for grabs
COMMUNITY groups and organisations can now apply for the latest round of Shire climate change grants.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available through the scheme run by Leicestershire County Council to help the groups and organisations to reduce their carbon emissions by improving their community buildings.
Coun Pam Posnett, the county council’s cabinet member for Shire grants, said: “We want to encourage groups to come forward and apply for Shire grants as they help them to make improvements to their buildings, particularly around reducing carbon emissions.”
To be eligible for a grant from the current round of funding, you must apply before Mon- day, 30 October. There will be a further round of funding which will close on Wednesday, 28 February 2018.
