Talented students on the stage
A TALENT show has taken place at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Loughborough.
The competition was held in the school hall and 37 children participated, aged from six to 11, performing dance, gymnastics, singing, karate or comedy slapstick.
This is the second year the school has run the competition. It has grown in popularity and is hosted by the school’s PTA - the Friends of St Mary’s.
More than 100 visitors enjoyed the variety of acts, judged by the Loughborough Martial Arts Centre, Charnwood School of Dance and Drama, and Maria’s Singing School, who provided feedback to each of the contestants plus vouchers and passes as prizes to add to prizes donated by BrightLights theatre group, Frenzy Youth Theatre and Loughborough Laser Quest.
Andy from McDonald’s was the MC and donated a party at McDonald’s for all the contestants. Maria Veretenina’s young choir attended and Maria entertained the audience with her beautiful singing. The stage was decorated beautifully by Country Baskets Loughborough and prizes for each of the children were donated by the Polish Loughborough Business Group.
