Insight into careers on cruise liners

Loughborough Echo - - NEWS -

SURFING, dodgems, West End shows and even virtual reality trampolines in the middle of the ocean were just some of the prospects presented to Loughborough College students as part of an insight into cruise line careers.

Nicki Quintana highlighted a huge range of globetrotting job opportunities to more than 60 learners as part of a presentation on behalf of Royal Caribbean Cruises.

Loughborough College travel and tourism lecturer Donna Rowley said: “You spend months away from home but during your down time you get to explore the world and you’re in a five star hotel on the water.

“You can be an engineer, a travel agent or entertainer, work in hospitality, childcare or hair and beauty, the list goes on. Then every day you’re off you can enjoy a different destination.”
