Cy­cling suc­cess for would-be MP

THE Labour can­di­date aim­ing to be Lough­bor­ough’s next MP, cy­cled back from the party con­fer­ence in Liver­pool to Lough­bor­ough to raise funds for his cam­paign.

Stuart Brady cy­cled more than 110 miles and he kept so­cial me­dia fol­low­ers up to date as he tra­versed the coun­try, in­clud­ing his lunch stop at the Pot­ter­ies Pantry in Stoke: who he said kindly chipped in £10 to the cause.

Mr Brady said: “There could be a gen­eral elec­tion any mo­ment. That means that we need all the fund­ing that we can pos­si­bly raise.

“This ride home was a great way of work­ing in some ex­er­cise to my busy work and po­lit­i­cal life whilst also mak­ing some much needed cash”.

He added that the ride raised in ex­cess of £1,000 for his cam­paign.
