SE­NIOR CI­TI­ZENS CLUB. This club is for those over the age of 60 in the Oaks Storer Hall, Oaks Road. LE12 9YD.

There are over 40 mem­bers and we meet ev­ery other Tues­day from 2pm till 4pm.

Rev Ly­dia Humphreys opens our meet­ings with prayer be­fore we com­mence the af­ter­noons ac­tiv­i­ties. Our meet­ings are friendly with games of domi­noes, cards or bingo plus a break for tea and bis­cuits. We also have speak­ers cov­er­ing wide rang­ing top­ics.

We also hold bring and buy and cake sales to raise funds for our group.

We ar­range five coach trips a year and these, cou­pled with an Easter lunch and Christ­mas lunch make up an in­ter­est­ing and var­ied pro­gramme.

FAM­ILY SER­VICE Please join us Sun­day Novem­ber 18, at 11am, at St James the Greater Church LE12 9YD for the Fam­ily Ser­vice with Rev John Bird.

Va­lerie Bax­ter will be join­ing usual with her ac­cor­dion. San­dra Cook will be tak­ing care of the younger children in the Oaks Storer Hall un­til it is time to re­join ev­ery­one else in the church.

Re­fresh­ments will be served af­ter the ser­vice.
