Zesty new 3.0 diesel for L405
The 3.0 TDV6 engine that powers the L405 Range Rover has been replaced by the more powerful SDV6. The new motor puts out 271bhp (16bhp more than the TDV6) and 461lb ft (up from 443lb ft). The extra urge does come at the cost of a few mpg – the official combined figure drops from 40.9 to 36.7.
The 4.4 SDV8 gets improved eight-speed automatic gearbox management, delivering better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions. All models are now offered with adaptive cruise control with Steering Assist. This keeps the car centred in its lane, using lane markings and the vehicle in front.
