BANKERS dug in to help revamp a school’s garden.

Parkroyal Community School welcomed a team from Barclays Bank to help make two new garden beds for the school’s outdoor quiet area.

The boys from the bank’s community scheme included Ben Ikin, Peter Cook, Andy Browne and Joe Martinez, who all work at the Knutsford branch.

They donated £500 funding for materials and plenty of elbow grease to complete the task at the Lyon Street school.

Mandy Martinez, from Barclays, said: “The new beds are part of a plan to create a tranquil space in which pupils can learn and play.

“Thanks to Barclays, the development is well under way.”

The school is running a summer playscheme called Funfactors. Check the school’s website for details.
