Macc Town v Kidderminster (Sat, 3pm) Wrexham v Macc Town (Mon, 3pm)

Macclesfield Express - - MOTORS -

KIDDERMINSTER visit on Saturday looking to defend their own unbeaten start to the season.

AFTER drawing at Lincoln on the opening day, they’ve chalked up wins at home to Alfreton and Dartford and have yet to concede a goal.

THEIR seven points from nine puts them fifth on goal difference and represents their best start to a league season in 23 years.

IT’S a far cry from the 2012/13 season, when they recovered from a winless first 10 games to finish second. Last year they missed out on the play-offs, in seventh.

MIDFIELDER Josh O’Keefe is an ongoing injury concern for Harriers boss Gary Whild, as a foot problem has ruled him out of action so far this term.

WHILD has brought in some experience in defence with the recruiting of full-back Kevin Nicholson.

LAST season’s meetings betweenMacc and Kiddy saw the Harriers take four points from two games.

WREXHAMbeat Macc to the chase to sign Connor Jennings this summer.

THE young striker’s loan spell at Macc prompted Dragons boss Kevin Wilkin to sign him.

JENNINGS’ hat-trick gave Macc a 3-2 win when they met at the Moss last season, though Wrexham won the return fixture 1-0.

FORMER Nuneaton manager Wilkin has also added LouisMoult to striking ranks that already boast Andy Bishop and Nick Rushton and former Notts County defenderManny Smith to his defence.

LEFTBACK Neil Ashton, who had half a season as a Silkman, is in his fifth season at the Racecourse Ground.

THE Dragons’ 3-0 defeat at home to Gateshead was sandwiched between victories over Dartford and Nuneaton.
